Translated client ideas and needs into an actual product which was promoted through traditional print media, advertising, and online social media channels. Developed client base through cold calling and lead development.

Sales Support: Potomac Group West [2001-2008]

Provided Customer Service and sales support (telephone and email) as a financial services wholesaler, including the world’s largest securities broker dealer. Prepared printed sales materials using industry specific toolsets along with traditional office applications. Trained office staff on use of new software as it was implemented. Also acted as Network Administrator to internal and external users.

Built a pioneering resource in partnership with an oncologist for online and mail order distribution of information about cancer treatment. Efforts today are focused on the aggregation of content, driving traffic, user analytics, monetization and the social networks. Have participated in many interactive media offerings as a project manager and by providing excellent customer service.

Leveraged skills gained as a college-trained journalist, I rose in the organization to the highest position on the staff. Included interviewing, copywriting and editing. As editor-in-chief, the position centered on keeping both the staff and the freelance team focused and on meeting a strict daily deadline.
